Our Vision

All Christians were once orphans that God adopted into His family. Jesus entered and embraced every aspect of humanity; with all its suffering. We care for the orphaned and vulnerable because we have been greatly cared for in Jesus. Caring for the orphaned and vulnerable is one of the purest and most undefiled demonstrations of the gospel the world will ever see. (James 1:27)

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” — John 1:12-13

“He predestined us for adoption to sonship - through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.” — Ephesians 1:5

World’s most vulnerable children

Children in Uganda have been orphaned due to AIDS, lack of available medical care, and violence. Children are at risk for trafficking and child labor. There are about 11,500 homeless children living and working on the streets in Jinja, Uganda. Over half the population of Uganda are 17 and younger, creating a great opportunity to impact a nation positively through education and discipleship.

Impact

Dorcus used to walk several miles to go to a dangerous school. The youth at the dangerous school sometimes attack the girls. She sometimes did not eat. She did not have shoes. Through the help of Africa’s Light, Dorcus has shoes, food, and is able to attend a safe school. She is so thankful she loves to share the love of Jesus with her classmates.
